What are open type features in the font? And how to activate them.

It is possible to use a few extended hidden functions in the font – fontname.otf. Open type features are make better organization of the text information. Using them depends on your needs and aesthetic preferences. At first the font have to include otf functions. If otf are included it is possible activate them. Look at these examples.
